(Roshn), a real estate development company in Saudi Arabia, has announced signing a memorandum of understanding with (Cisco) to enhance innovation in the design and construction of smart, sustainable, and future-proof buildings.
The memorandum of understanding with Cisco focuses on the potential collaboration between the two companies in utilizing Internet of Things technology to create smart, sustainable, and future-proof buildings. This initiative will help transfer Cisco’s modern technologies to aid in enhancing the innovation hub that the group is working to establish.
On this occasion, Jayesh Majanlal, the Chief Executive Officer of Information Technology and Digitalization at Roshn Group, stated: “Technology supports all our activities at Roshn, and this collaboration with Cisco will enable us to use new technologies such as IoT to deliver new innovations in energy efficiency and smart building management.” He emphasized that the goal of this collaboration is to utilize technology to serve the populations of our communities across the Kingdom.
Salman Faqih, the Executive Director of Cisco Saudi Arabia, noted that the collaboration with Roshn Group reflects Cisco’s focus on using advanced technologies and sustainable practices to build smart digital communities in the Kingdom. The initiative aims to explore the full use of the latest technologies to digitally empower Roshn Group and support the company in playing a pivotal role in the real estate market growth in the Kingdom.
It is worth mentioning that (Roshn) Group, a subsidiary of the Saudi Public Investment Fund, is working on developing integrated communities in the Kingdom that offer a modern lifestyle and top-tier facilities.
Roshn is building sustainable communities by developing over 200 million square meters, contributing to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to increase citizens’ homeownership to 70%. By 2030, Roshn will construct over 400,000 residential units, in addition to more than 1,000 schools and over 700 mosques.
