OpenAI has announced the launch of a new tool that can detect images designed using artificial intelligence techniques.
According to information provided by the “Wall Street Journal”, the new tool announced by OpenAI can determine whether the image was created using the image generation model “DALL-E 3” based on artificial intelligence techniques.
OpenAI has pointed out that the accuracy of the new tool in detecting images designed by DALL-E 3 is around 98%, provided the image is not edited, but this accuracy may decrease if the image is cropped or its color is changed. Efforts are being made to increase the accuracy of the tool.
According to company experts, determining whether images were created by artificial intelligence is much easier than conducting the same test for texts.
It should be noted that OpenAI launched a tool to detect texts created by artificial intelligence last year, but the tool was largely unable to perform the required task, so the company had to abandon it.
