A team at Google is working on developing a new technology for chatbots that rely on artificial intelligence. These chatbots are distinguished by their ability to simulate the personalities of celebrities and influencers, according to a report published by the specialized technology website “The Information”.
The “Google Labs” team is working on developing chatbots that users can customize with specific personalities and interact with. These chatbots will be supported by Gemini models, and users will be able to choose the personality and appearance of the robot they create.
According to the report, Google is currently collaborating with influencers to develop chatbots that reflect their personalities, and this product is expected to be launched as a standalone project within the current year.
Google is considering adding these chatbots to YouTube in the future, with the aim of providing a similar experience to what Meta offers on its other platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger.
It should be noted that this program is different from the Gems project, where users can create custom versions of Gemini according to their specific needs. Google announced this project at the I/O 2024 developers’ conference last May, and it is expected to be launched in the coming months.
Individuals can benefit from custom models in Gems such as private yoga instructors, mathematics teachers, or chefs, in addition to other models that Google will provide to all users. The company will allow Gemini Advanced subscribers to create custom Gems chatbots according to their specific needs, similar to what OpenAI offers to ChatGPT Plus subscribers.
