The company Samsung has announced that the artificial intelligence features of Galaxy AI in the Galaxy S24 series will be available at the end of March on tablets and phones released last year, including foldable devices.
A lineup of devices to be launched in 2023 will be updated with One UI 6.1 software update next month, bringing artificial intelligence features from the Galaxy S24 series.
The One UI 6.1 update includes a range of useful enhancements beyond artificial intelligence, such as new lock screen tools and unified quick sharing.
Modern smart devices stand out with artificial intelligence features in the field of communications, such as Chat Assist that helps adjust message writing and translation, providing real-time translation for voice calls and text messages, in addition to offering instant translation service for split-screen personal chats.
The productivity-based smart features provided by smart technology also include the “Circle to Search” feature that allows searching across the screen by drawing a circle around it, “Note Assist” feature that helps format, summarize, and translate notes, “Browsing Assist” feature that provides summaries for news articles, and “Transcript Assist” feature that helps transcribe and summarize meeting recordings.
The artificial intelligence-dependent features in the images coming to these devices include innovative editing to reframe and animate elements or remove and replace them, suggested edits for images, and Instant Slow-Mo to create extra frames for converting standard video clips into slow-motion videos.
The full list of devices expected to receive the update starting from March includes the following phones: Galaxy S23, +Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23 FE, as well as the tablets Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9 Plus, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra.
Samsung says it anticipates adding more devices to its service in the future. Taemoon Roh, Head of Mobile Device Experience Division at Samsung, wrote: “This marks the beginning of Galaxy AI, as we plan to deliver this experience to over 100 million Galaxy users by 2024 and continue evolving and innovating in leveraging the limitless opportunities of mobile artificial intelligence.”
Artificial intelligence tools have faced some challenges upon their release, although most are considered a useful addition to advanced smartphones. Samsung has developed a response to the advanced features previously only available to the Pixel family.
