A team from the Saudi police inspected the achievements of the Safe City at the General Command Center of Abu Dhabi Police, including technological advancements and the use of artificial intelligence to enhance security, in accordance with global best practices.
Major Engineer Tareq Matar Al-Hassani, Deputy Director of the Information and Communication Systems Center, welcomed the visiting delegation led by Major Fahd bin Mohammed Al-Zuweibi, Assistant Director of Security Affairs in the Qassim Police Department in Saudi Arabia.
Major Al-Hassani emphasized Abu Dhabi Police’s interest in employing the latest technologies and technical systems in the field of artificial intelligence and the importance of cooperation between the two sides and conducting benchmarking to enhance security operations to achieve the government’s vision of transforming Abu Dhabi into one of the leading safe cities.
Captain Engineer Hamad Ali Al-Hammadi from the Safe City Center showcased the latest technologies in artificial intelligence in traffic management, including three systems: the driver alert system, the dangerous driver system, and the digital violations system. He noted that these technologies have delivered excellent results in providing accurate and timely information, enhancing the highest levels of efficiency and effectiveness in decision-making.
During the orientation tour, the guest delegation observed many facilities at the center. These facilities included the infrastructure monitoring room and customer service. The delegation also received an explanation about a model of the volatile weather conditions system.
This model helps in understanding how the system operates and the technologies and intelligent systems connected to it, including its connections to towers and cameras using surveillance systems at the center and innovative traffic safety systems in management.
The delegation appreciated the immense developmental efforts achieved by the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police, following the best international standards. At the end of the visit, a commemorative shield was presented to the delegation.
