The Trends Research and Consulting Center has released a new study in English titled “Leading the Future: The central role of women in shaping artificial intelligence“, highlighting the exceptional struggle and the role that women play in the field of artificial intelligence, despite their underrepresentation in this sector.
The study, prepared by Noor Al Mazroui, head of the Artificial Intelligence and Future Studies department at “Trends”, analyzes the efforts of leading women in the field of artificial intelligence, such as Vivian Lee, a computer science professor at Stanford University, and Andrea Gallego, a robotics professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The study focuses on their work in healthcare and education by addressing real-life challenges.
The study provides realistic examples of women’s contributions to developing artificial intelligence applications, such as specialized educational tools. It also reveals that women constitute only 22% of the global workforce in the field of artificial intelligence, yet they contribute effectively to advancing this field.
The study highlights revolutionary projects led by women, such as the “Brain 2030” project aimed at simulating the human brain, along with recommendations on how to support female talents in the field of artificial intelligence.
