Prior to CES 2024, Samsung unveiled a few new home appliances that stand out with smart features and internet connectivity for IoT.
These devices include the Bespoke 4-Door Flex refrigerator, Anyplace Induction cooking stove, and Slide-In Range oven. These appliances feature touchscreens to provide advanced functions.
It appears that generative artificial intelligence will be the prominent feature in all upcoming Samsung products set to launch next year.
The Samsung Bespoke 4-Door Flex refrigerator equipped with +AI Family Hub technology has a completely new feature in artificial intelligence called Vision Inside, using an internal camera to recognize items when placed inside or taken out of the refrigerator.
The refrigerator boasts the Vision AI feature, capable of recognizing about 33 types of different fresh foods based on specific pre-trained data including nearly a million food images.
The Vision feature categorizes each food item and displays it on an external 32-inch touchscreen.
The food items stored in the refrigerator can be edited using the touchscreen, allowing users to add expiration dates for each item. The refrigerator sends a notification when the expiration date for these items approaches.
The Fridge Manager feature enables you to monitor the water filter status, and the refrigerator alerts you when it’s time to replace the filter. You can order a replacement water filter directly from Amazon with just one click.
You can use the Tizen OS-powered screen by Samsung to watch videos on YouTube, control compatible smart home devices with SmartThings, mirror your smartphone screen, and watch TikTok videos.
With integration with Samsung Food, Samsung Health, and SmartThings, your health and dietary preferences are considered by the refrigerator to recommend recipes.
You can utilize the customization feature supported by AI in the food app to add your dietary preferences, such as dairy-free foods and gluten-free options.
The personalized meal plan analyzes user information by connecting to Samsung Health accounts to create customized meals according to their health needs.
The Anyplace Induction stove and Slide-In Range oven from Samsung feature 7-inch touchscreens. These screens display recommended recipes from the Bespoke 4-Door Flex refrigerator.
Moh Yoon Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience Team in Samsung DX Digital Appliance Business, said: “We are proud and excited to showcase these enhanced AI and connectivity benefits, utilizing advanced technologies to help everyone enhance their food and kitchen experiences.”
The spokesperson emphasized our commitment to allowing users to enjoy the benefits of our innovative dietary system through a wide range of devices and features.
