Adobe has announced the release of Firefly Services, a specialized suite for brands that includes over 20 development and creative APIs to streamline the routine tasks currently performed by creative teams, such as resizing images and changing backgrounds.
Firefly Services offers some AI-supported features from Adobe’s Creative Cloud tools, like Photoshop, for company developers to expedite content creation processes within the company or develop entirely new solutions.
As an example, the company has provided customized templates that allow companies to tailor Firefly models to their assets, aiding in achieving a radical shift in brand creation process for content.
Adobe’s Firefly services are described as a comprehensive set of creative and generative APIs aimed at enhancing operational processes through automation.
Firefly Services provide APIs for AI-powered background removal, image cropping, and automatic horizon leveling adjustments, in addition to access to essential AI-based Photoshop features like content-aware fill and expansion.
In addition to AI benefits, Firefly Services also offer text editing tools, content tagging, and application of previous Lightroom settings.
Adobe stated: “Firefly Services and the customized templates are groundbreaking offers that open up opportunities for brands to gain strong customization capabilities and additional control over defining automated operational processes.”
Like most of Adobe’s enterprise-focused AI technologies, all these new tools aim to help brands facilitate content production processes faster.
Many companies are looking to utilize generative smart technology, however, concerns about brand safety have hindered some from integrating these tools into production processes.
Adobe has launched the Firefly generative AI learning model as a secure alternative for other brands, and Firefly Services continue to provide this support.
Adobe’s innovations enable saving time to focus on unique creative expression, as well as working on high-value strategic projects.
A study conducted by Adobe revealed that the majority of creators spend only about 30% of their time on creative work. Now, tasks can be completed in days or even hours instead of weeks as it was previously.
