Adobe has developed a new audio tool called Project Sound Lift that utilizes AI to assist users in distinguishing between different components within a single recording, such as a person’s voice and audience applause, thereby distinguishing between different audio layers within the recording.
This ease is the main selling point of the modern AI-powered tool from Adobe, revealing the future of audio editing and its ability to separate speech from other background sounds.
It has been proven that the audio tool is relatively easy to use when users first need to upload the audio file to the program, then select the sounds they want to remove using the tool, such as applause, laughter, alerts, speech, crowds, traffic noise, typing, and more, as many options are available.
Project Sound Lift automatically identifies all options and creates separate files containing background noise and the audio recording the user wants to focus on, such as a musical instrument sound.
Users can import each track separately and edit it in the display. Editing is done in Adobe Premiere Pro, such as adjusting the background noise level and enhancing the clarity of the main track.
With Project Sound Lift, Adobe has presented an early glimpse of potential technologies in future products they may include.
Adobe reminds that this feature is still in the experimental stage, meaning it is under development, and users need to wait longer to obtain a sound separation tool.
Initially, we need to enunciate or discuss what you are interested in or what you mean to clarify from Supertone’s Clear and Guoyu’s Voice Separator, which provide options to separate the file’s environment, sound, and frequency only, while Adobe’s Project Sound Lift tool is designed to accommodate specific voices with the ability to separate them from each other.
Project Sound Lift technology relies on the same method used to restore the first Beatles song after nearly 30 years and re-release it, where producers used AI to restore John Lennon’s voice from the cassette tape and separate the strong piano melodies from Lennon’s singing.
Promotion for the “Project Sound Lift” feature comes from Adobe after holding the MAX Sneak event on October 12, which provided a brief overview of several projects that may be available to users in the future.
