In a strategic move to bolster innovation in the artificial intelligence sector, aiXplain, a leading provider of foundational AI infrastructure, has announced the successful completion of a $6.5 million pre-Series A funding round. This round was spearheaded by Wa’ed Ventures, a Saudi Arabian venture capital fund backed by Aramco with a total value of $500 million, marking its first direct investment in a US-based company. Noteworthy angel investors such as Osama Kadi, CEO and co-founder of Incorta, and global business expert Kane Minkus also participated in this funding round.
With this new influx of capital, aiXplain’s total funding since its inception has reached $16.5 million. The company has previously secured investments from prominent American firms like Transform VC and Calibrate VC during its seed funding round last year.
aiXplain is revolutionizing the process of building AI agents—intelligent systems designed to operate autonomously on behalf of users. Companies worldwide are eager to leverage this technology to enhance operations and make advanced decisions. However, constructing these systems demands substantial resources and advanced technical expertise. aiXplain addresses these challenges by offering a platform that enables developers and non-technical users alike to “activate” tens of thousands of AI assets using simple language prompts instead of complex coding.
“Building practical AI solutions shouldn’t be limited to large tech companies with extensive resources. There are numerous AI assets available today—such as models, datasets, and production lines—but the infrastructure to make these assets easily accessible is minimal. aiXplain is changing that,” said Hassan Sawaf, founder and CEO of aiXplain and former AI executive at Meta, Amazon, and eBay. “AI has the potential to make a tangible difference for companies around the globe, and our recent funding will help us realize this vision.”
aiXplain aims to empower companies to harness modern technology without the need for massive investments in human resources or infrastructure, thereby opening new avenues for innovation and growth across various sectors.
As AI continues to evolve, platforms like aiXplain are crucial in democratizing access to sophisticated AI technologies, making it easier for businesses of all sizes to integrate intelligent solutions into their operations.
