Ali Baba released a new version of their large linguistic model Qwen after it was adopted by over 90,000 clients from companies.
The giant Chinese technology company comes at a time when it is competing with its rivals to attract users to Generative Artificial Intelligence services.
The company has witnessed the use of its large linguistic model Qwen in various creative applications in diverse fields, including consumer electronics and games.
Ali Baba stated, “We look forward to collaborating with our clients and developers to take advantage of the great growth opportunities provided by the modern advancements in Generative Artificial Intelligence development.”
The company explained that the new version of their large linguistic model, Qwen 2.5, boasts significant advancements in understanding and reasoning in code instructions and texts compared to the previous version, Qwen 2.0.
Large linguistic models utilize Artificial Intelligence techniques, such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT, and are trained on massive datasets to produce responses similar to those provided by humans for user needs.
Qwen released their large linguistic model in April 2023 after the global spread of ChatGPT following its launch in November 2022.
And Qwen 2.0 will be launched in October with improvements in the capability to understand complex instructions, writing texts, thinking, storage, among other things.
The parent company stated that over two million users from companies have accessed the Artificial Intelligence services provided by the QweningTalk model family.
The company mentioned that they have introduced various open-source large language models of different sizes to the open-source community and upgraded their Model Studio platform for Generative Artificial Intelligence with new resources for AI development.
Other major Chinese technology companies, such as Baidu and Tencent, have released chatbots and similar Artificial Intelligence models amid the increasing demand for advanced Artificial Intelligence technology.
In April, Baidu announced that the number of users of their Artificial Intelligence chatbot, Ernie, surpassed 200 million users after receiving approval for public use in August.
Generative Artificial Intelligence helps accelerate the progress of humanoid robots in China, where these robots can contribute to industrial processes or manual work.
