Amazon introduces a new artificial intelligence tool that enables it to address shoppers’ inquiries about a specific product, as announced by the company spokesperson, as the company continues to experiment with generative artificial intelligence technology.
The new feature in the Amazon mobile app requires users to ask questions about a particular item and then provide an answer within a few moments, primarily by summarizing information gathered from product reviews and the product listing itself.
The new feature can answer the same questions that people sometimes ask smart robots.
You can ask any questions you want answers to about a specific product using the questions field on its product page.
Maria Bousheti, the Amazon spokesperson, stated: “We are constantly working on innovating new solutions to make our customers’ lives easier, and we are currently testing a new feature using artificial intelligence to enhance the shopping process on Amazon, where this feature will provide customers with answers to common questions related to products.”
This feature blocks shoppers from browsing through review pages or reading the listing to find product information.
In contrast, Amazon’s new application differs from the artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT by OpenAI, as the new feature is not designed for conversations but is capable of responding to creative requests.
Amazon has designed the tool to ensure it stays on topic and displays an error message if it fails to answer the questions.
Lately, Amazon has introduced several artificial intelligence tools to its platform.
The company started testing product review summaries created using artificial intelligence last June and launched AI features for third-party sellers to assist in writing listings and generating ads’ images.
The Q product, an artificial intelligence chatbot, was launched to help companies with daily tasks. Additionally, the Bedrock service, an integrated artificial intelligence service, was introduced for Amazon’s web service customers.
Andy Jassy, the CEO of Amazon, expressed that renewable artificial intelligence technology impacts every customer’s experience and is used by the company to forecast inventory and determine optimal driver routes.
The company implements generative artificial intelligence technology through its institutional cloud division, AWS.
In November, AWS launched a feature called Titan Image Generator, allowing companies to use textual claims to generate images.
Furthermore, enterprise clients can benefit from accessing other known artificial intelligence models like Llama 2, Claude, and Stable Diffusion.
