Amazon Web Services, a subsidiary of Amazon, has expanded its free credit program for startups to cover the costs of using key artificial intelligence models, as Amazon seeks to strengthen Pedrook’s service capabilities in this technology market.
Pedrook offers a collection of leading high-performance artificial intelligence companies such as Coheir, Meta, Mistral AI, and Anthropic.
Howard Wright, Vice President and Global Head of Startups at the company’s services, said that this step is a gift for startups, hoping that they will continue to prioritize it.
This move comes after Amazon’s investment in Anthropic by buying $4 billion in bonds. As a result of this investment, Anthropic decided to use Amazon Web Services as a major cloud provider. They will also benefit from Amazon’s TriNeum and Interficia chip technologies to develop their own artificial intelligence models.
The company stated that it has provided over $6 billion in loans to startups in the past decade, and in collaboration with the American business accelerator (Y Combinator), it provided $500,000 in credits for use in artificial intelligence models and Amazon’s services, providing financial relief for startups that may struggle to afford technology costs quickly.
Its cloud services are the most comprehensive and reliable globally, offering over 200 integrated IT infrastructure services through data centers worldwide.
Amazon is not the only company among the top cloud service providers offering free credits to attract startups in artificial intelligence. Microsoft Azure provides credits for use in Open AI models, while Google Cloud allows the use of credits on over 130 models in Vertex AI.
