The American company “Anthropic” announced on Thursday the release of an enhanced version of its generative artificial intelligence model “Claude”.
A statement from the company indicated that the new version, named “Claude 3.5 Sonnet”, will be smarter and “twice as fast” as the previous model.
In March, the company unveiled “Claude 3”, which includes three models with varying strengths: Haiku, Sonnet, and Opos.
The company’s production manager, Michael Gerstenhaber, told Agence France-Presse that the new version of Sonnet “is capable of performing highly complex tasks”.
He pointed out that it excels in programming capabilities, improving smart customer service, supporting researchers in data analysis, data visualization, and literary content production.
As with previous releases, the new version will be available for free to users on the claude.ai website, the electronic version of the artificial intelligence assistant, and also through the mobile app (for Apple devices).
“Claude 3.5 Sonnet” will be available in the United States and Europe.
Since late 2022, the latest success of the “Chat GPT” program under “OpenAI” has revolutionized the field of generative artificial intelligence. This technology enables machines to understand and produce texts, images, and sounds based on simple requests in everyday language.
