Apple is planning to enhance its photo editor in its system by incorporating some features related to artificial intelligence, aiming to enable users to make advanced edits to their photos.
According to “Apple Insider” website citing sources within the company, the “Clean Up” feature will be one of the prominent new features, expected to replace the current “Retouch Tool” in the photo editor.
As per the website, the new cleaning tool will provide enhanced editing capabilities and advanced options for removing elements from photos and filling gaps without negatively affecting the images.
Users will be able to select elements in photos using a brush tool that can be adjusted in size, allowing for easy removal of objects based on their size.
This feature will be similar to features announced by other companies like Google, which offers the same tool in its photo editor called the magic eraser, and the Content-Aware Fill feature provided by Adobe in its applications for efficiently removing objects using artificial intelligence.
Apple is expected to unveil some artificial intelligence features simultaneously with the launch of the new iPads.
Apple is likely to first announce features related to iPad devices, and it is possible that the announcement of all new features developed may be postponed to the developer conference in early June, where the company will reveal all the new releases for its proprietary systems.
