Apple is striving to develop innovative features based on cutting-edge technology. The upcoming iPhone 16 smartphones will include some unique features in technology. New leaks have emerged.
The company is expected to announce a new version of the personal assistant “Siri” powered by advanced artificial intelligence language models, along with the launch of the upcoming iOS 18 and iPasOS 18 systems.
Previous reports have indicated that Apple is currently discussing the possibility of restricting processing AI-based operations on the device itself or through the cloud, or taking a hybrid approach that combines both.
According to the latest available information, the upcoming release of iOS 18 will introduce new artificial intelligence features that rely on the cloud – or Apple servers – for millions of devices eligible for upgrading to iOS 18. Other AI features that are processed within the device itself are expected to remain exclusive to iPhone 16 smartphones.
Sources indicate that the new privileges include enhancing communication between Siri and the Messages app, as well as the ability to answer complex questions and automatically complete sentences more efficiently.
Additionally, automatic playlist creation will be added to the Music app, along with collaboration with productivity apps like Pages and Keynote in writing and creating presentations with the assistance of artificial intelligence and more applications.
Reports also suggest that Apple intends to spend approximately one billion dollars annually on AI research. Some top executives, such as Craig Federighi, Vice President of Software Engineering, John Giannandrea, Vice President of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, and Eddie Cue, Vice President of Services, among others, will play a role in this effort.
