The government of the United Arab Emirates announced the establishment of an office for artificial intelligence, digital economy, and remote work applications.
An electronic platform for an Arabic terminology lexicon specialized in the field of artificial intelligence has been launched in a new initiative coinciding with the events of the UAE’s Programming Day “UAE Codes 2023,” which takes place on October 29th of each year.
The platform, aimed at serving researchers, journalists, individuals interested in artificial intelligence, and the community, aims to enhance and improve knowledge. The Arabic language-specific site specializes in exploring and explaining artificial intelligence terms and concepts by translating these terms into Arabic and finding their Arabic synonyms. The site also provides a comprehensive platform for defining Arabic terms used to refer to technical and scientific concepts in artificial intelligence. Terms are constantly updated based on developments in this futuristic field, with the goal of creating an accurate reference for artificial intelligence terms in the Arabic language.
Sager bin Ghalib, the CEO of the artificial intelligence office, digital economy, and remote work applications, emphasized the importance of establishing a specialized and accurate system for artificial intelligence concepts, advanced technology, and programming in the Arabic language. This system will serve as a supportive and enabling mechanism for specialists, researchers, and individuals interested in understanding this important sector, benefiting from its solutions, building on them, and continuing to develop them in all aspects of life and work.
Sager bin Ghalib stated that the Arabic lexicon for artificial intelligence will support simplifying concepts and facilitating their understanding for readers, and will provide researchers with the opportunity to benefit from unified and accurate concepts that can be used in their research and studies written in the Arabic language.
He added that the platform will work to enhance community participation in developing the lexicon content by encouraging them to suggest Arabic terms related to artificial intelligence, and after verification and review, they will be added to the lexicon.
