His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, attended today (Tuesday) the activities of the “Artificial Intelligence Summit 2024”, which witnessed the participation of more than 2500 officials, experts, and specialists in the field of artificial intelligence, in addition to 50 executives from leading local and international technology companies such as Microsoft, IBM, Google, Amazon, Oracle, SAP, Nvidia, and Samsung. New partnerships and initiatives were announced by governmental entities and private technology companies participating in the event.
During the summit, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met with directors and officials of governmental entities, in the presence of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority. He emphasized the need to improve solutions and mechanisms to accelerate the implementation of initiatives and projects adopting artificial intelligence technologies, to support the leadership visions for the future and make governmental entities in Dubai the most competent and prepared to leverage artificial intelligence opportunities. As part of this, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed met with newly appointed artificial intelligence executives in 22 governmental entities in Dubai, emphasizing their key role in developing and adopting artificial intelligence solutions and the importance of the public sector keeping pace with these advancements.
He stated that the upcoming period will focus on using artificial intelligence to develop Dubai into the most future-ready city, transforming it into practical applications that enhance human capabilities, improve efficiency at work, and increase productivity.
Technology is directed towards serving humanity, and he announced his desire to enhance the positive impact of artificial intelligence applications to facilitate people’s lives. Their aim is to transform the goals of the “Dubai Annual AI Adoption Plan” into practical steps, initiatives, events, and programs to enhance competitiveness, economic resilience, quality of life, and future readiness in Dubai.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum witnessed some of the dialogues and discussions held at the “Future Museum” within the Artificial Intelligence Summit activities, focusing on four main axes related to financing and financial support, digital infrastructure, data empowerment, and talent development. The goal was to identify key opportunities in the field of artificial intelligence, including policies, legislation, governance, developing data centers supporting AI applications, in addition to enhancing funding, research, talent development, and other aspects.
During a tour in “Area 2071” at Emirates Towers in Dubai, he visited several workshops and events organized by international technology companies to showcase the latest artificial intelligence solutions and applications. These events included 11 workshops in collaboration with Microsoft, Google, IBM, Oracle, Amazon, SAP, Nvidia, and Dubai Future Foundation, as well as 8 panel discussions organized by Dubai Future District Fund, Dubai AI Campus, Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Oracle, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Intel.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced the next edition of the “Artificial Intelligence Summit” on April 29, 2025, expressing his desire to make the summit an annual platform for studying the transformations and deep changes caused by artificial intelligence in all sectors through collaboration between the government and private sectors, aiming to capitalize on opportunities and applications that contribute to significant progress in education, health, development, scientific research, and future design.

Three main discussion sessions titled “From Dubai to the World: Establishing Dubai as a global hub for big companies” featured entrepreneurs Devyani Torakia, CEO and co-founder of “Kitopi,” Mohammed Balout, former CEO of Farfetch, and Martin Avetissian. The successful models in artificial intelligence applications embraced by Dubai and launched globally were discussed due to its leadership in digital transformation, advanced technological development, diverse and advanced legislation meeting contemporary requirements.
