/WAM/ The Emirates Post Group announced its collaboration with Mohammed bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence in issuing a series of postage stamps using generative artificial intelligence technology to celebrate the fifty-second Union Day in the United Arab Emirates.
This first-of-its-kind edition in the region focuses on postage stamps, showcasing the Emirates Post Group’s commitment to leveraging advanced technology to highlight the inspiring history of the UAE, preserve its rich heritage, and contribute to building its future.
The Computer Vision department at Mohammed bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence took the lead in these efforts, with the postage stamps being created through generative artificial intelligence to express the rich cultural heritage and ambitious aspirations of the UAE.
The stamps feature prominent landmarks of the country, such as the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the Burj Khalifa, alongside symbols reflecting the commitment to sustainability in the country. Each stamp boasts a resolution of 2048 x 2048 pixels.
The university team utilized a multi-style approach to synchronize the latest text-to-image conversion algorithms and utilized the university’s image production system. This methodology integrated actual data, such as traditional attire, architectural styles, historical elements, and future aspects, resulting in watercolor-style artistic works blending art and technical expertise.
