Bill Gates, the former president of Microsoft, affirmed that artificial intelligence will simply be a tool to enhance productivity and will provide tremendous opportunities in various fields, and this technology will contribute to business development.
Gates stated in a radio interview that artificial intelligence will help alleviate the burden on people who work for more than five days a week and will give them more leisure time, but he also cautioned against this aspect, which he does not consider positive.
When asked about the threat posed by artificial intelligence to jobs, Gates emphasized that misuse of technology could harm society. He added, saying: “I believe the day may come when humans will not need to work extensively.”
He further explained: “If you find a society that only needs to work three days a week, this could be either a positive or negative thing. There might be a world where machines make food and everything, and you will only need to work a few days a week to earn your income.”
