Today, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority signed a cooperation agreement with Amazon Web Services, a subsidiary of Amazon, specializing in providing cloud computing platforms and application programming interfaces. The agreement aims to support the authority’s journey towards cloud computing, exchange knowledge, best practices, and approaches in areas such as application programming, artificial intelligence, data solutions, augmented reality, virtual reality, and Internet of Things.
Through this partnership, the authority is leveraging the latest digital technologies to support its strategy in transitioning to cloud computing and enhancing digital transformation in its services and Dubai emirate as a whole, with the goal of improving public services.
Mohammed Al Mazrouei, the Executive Director of the Institutional Technical Support Sector at the authority, and Fawitk Bhajda, the Public Sector Manager at Amazon Web Services, signed the agreement.
Regarding this collaboration, the spokesperson stated: “This agreement aims to support the institution’s efforts in enhancing its leading position and achieving its goals in transitioning to cloud computing, by utilizing the latest innovations to keep up with technological advancements in the field of technologies, through collaboration with specialized private sector companies including Amazon Web Services.”
In relation to this, Fawitk Bhajda stated: “This collaboration with the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority signifies a significant step towards enhancing digital transformation in the region, and we are proud to start providing support to the authority in adopting cloud technology and artificial intelligence to enhance its services and promote innovation in Dubai.”
