Approximately a year after the successful launch of the generative AI application “ChatGPT,” the startup company “OpenAI” introduced its latest innovation on Monday, which is chatbots and advisory robots that can be customized according to users’ needs, providing more efficient and cost-effective tools for developers.
On November 30, company’s CEO Sam Altman stated that we secretly released the first version of our product, as a joke. ChatGPT was tested online for research purposes and everything went smoothly.
During a conference held in San Francisco, he added that we are now live streaming online with about 100 million active users weekly.
Millions of individuals use the named “ChatGPT” for editing messages, requesting cooking recipes, or creating a story to tell their children, after which the robot can read it to them.
Soon, subscribed users will be able to utilize more advanced features by creating their own automated chat program without the need for programming knowledge.
On Monday, OpenAI launched what they called “GPT.” The previous sentence refers to tools that, for example, can assist individuals in understanding the rules of a board game or teaching math to children.
Beginner new players who need help understanding the game rules, intermediate players looking to enhance their skills and improve their performance, and expert players seeking new challenges and opportunities to explore different strategies. “Laundry Buddy” is someone who can be asked about everything, such as laundry machine settings and sorting, or another feature called “Negotiator” that helps the user defend their interests and achieve better results.
Superhuman Capabilities
These chatbots are based on “OpenAI” language models (the core technology of generative AI) containing instructions and documents provided by the chatbot developer (similar to game rules).
Observers in the generative AI field see this technology as a revolutionary turning point similar to the emergence of the internet, allowing us to produce texts, images, and sounds based on simple daily Arabic language requests.
For many followers, this tool will particularly enable the creation of personal agents who will assist individuals in their personal and professional lives.
Sam Altman stated that with the integration of AI across all domains, we will all have superhuman capabilities as needed.
Given the tremendous success of “ChatGPT” and the concerns it raised regarding generative AI, the 38-year-old company’s CEO held meetings with country leaders in 2023.
Altman reiterated on Monday his confidence in the future capabilities of AI, stating that there will be liberating opportunities for everyone like never before.
He further stated, “We will be able to achieve more accomplishments, innovations, and successes.”
OpenAI’s advertisements primarily target over two million developers using its technologies to create applications based on generative AI, in addition to “GPT.”
Altman revealed “GPT4 Turbo,” a new model that can consider context elements more while responding to user inquiries, trained using up-to-date data and at lower costs.
The Application Programming Interface (API) is equipped with advanced features in multimedia, including image and audio recognition.
“OpenAI” is currently planning to cover legal defense costs in case of claims of intellectual property rights violation, similar to “Google” and “Microsoft.”
According to expert Yuri Wormser, he believes that the main announcement by “OpenAI” relates to personal agents.
He highlighted that “these initiatives resemble what the company announced.” In the end, this phrase refers to software developed by a social media giant this fall, which includes artificial intelligence personalities.
Google and Microsoft. The new release includes deeper text understanding and the ability to generate more accurate and detailed content. These features will help “OpenAI” improve its services and overall AI experience. Google, Amazon, according to an analyst at “Insider Intelligence.”
Wormser added that companies like Amazon and Microsoft, a leading global company in cloud computing, developing AI technology, own API interfaces for several key language models, and will surely release similar tools later.
Big technology companies are fiercely competing to popularize this technology, by developing new tools for search engines, platforms, and their productivity software.
Microsoft, the producer of the Windows operating system, returned to the forefront of the technology scene thanks to its massive investments in OpenAI.
Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella, said to Sam Altman on Monday, “We love you.”
Altman responded, “I am excited about the idea of building artificial intelligence within the ‘together’ initiative, as the ‘OpenAI’ project aims to develop AI that surpasses human cognitive abilities.”
