A seminar on artificial intelligence was presented by the Egyptian Chinese for Applied Technology to the students of “Mecca Al-Mukarrama” school in Ismailia.
The visit comes in the context of the directives of Dr. Nasser Mandour, the university president, emphasizing the importance of enhancing cooperation with various institutions in society, including the Directorate of Education. It also highlights the importance of engaging with students in pre-university stages to introduce them to university life and promote accurate concepts among them. This visit is part of the efforts of the Suez Canal University to enhance its enlightenment role and communicate with various segments of society, in addition to promoting the culture of digital and technological transformation and contributing to comprehensive development and advancing the society’s vision to keep up with global developments in this field.
Dr. Tamer Nabil, Dean of the Egyptian Chinese College of Applied Technology, explained that the college is one of the most prominent modern colleges at Suez Canal University, resulting from the collaboration between the Egyptian and Chinese sides with the aim of enhancing the teaching of technological subjects and better preparing students for the job market.
Dr. Mahmoud Farag, Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development, explained that the goal of studying at the college is to meet the needs of the job market for the required specializations for the giant projects of the Suez Canal axis. He pointed out that school visits are a means of communicating with society and introducing students to the nature of the study and the college’s departments.
The importance of artificial intelligence in shaping our world by 2030, the essential role of courses in the field of technology to keep up with rapid advancements, available job opportunities in the field of artificial intelligence, its advantages and disadvantages, and the impact of robots on human daily life were discussed.
The visit was organized by Evon Habib, Director of the Communications and Conferences Department in the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector.
During the seminar, she answered students’ questions, explained and responded to their inquiries about the topic of artificial intelligence, its uses, applications, as well as addressed its positive and negative aspects.
