Microsoft will soon launch a set of advanced features related to artificial intelligence that will assist individuals facing challenges in formulating requests or obtaining expected results when using the Copilot chatbot seamlessly. The leading technology company announced on Wednesday that it is developing several new features specifically designed to enhance and improve the performance of the Copilot AI.
These characteristics include providing services such as self-completion, automatic correction, and automated follow-up. Additionally, efforts are underway to develop the Copilot Lab feature that will help meet companies’ demands designed to align with their unique business requirements.
In a blog post by Microsoft and its subsidiary LinkedIn, the companies focused on the impact of artificial intelligence in the workplace environment. The post highlighted various studies and statistics showing how AI contributes to creating new job opportunities and motivates professionals to refine their skills and pivot their careers towards engaging in artificial intelligence.
It was also reported that many innovative features are being developed by the major technology company to assist individuals facing writing challenges.
To illustrate the dilemma, Microsoft stated: “For many, looking at a blank request box is akin to facing a blank page: where to begin?” Currently, we announce Copilot within Microsoft 365 innovations to help our customers address this question.
The key feature lies in the self-completion function, where this capability allows the Copilot application to provide recommendations for completing requests. For example, if the user writes the word “summary”, the chat program will suggest “Last Ten Recent Emails” along with a variety of other suggestions.
The user can then select one of the options to quickly access the desired result. There is an additional feature known as rephrasing, aiming to assist individuals who struggle to achieve the optimal result from the first attempt, by formulating multiple requests and follow-ups to refine and improve the response of the Copilot AI.
Copilot will be equipped with a new button feature to edit requests, where once the user writes a general description of what they want, the feature will detail it further with additional guidance, specific instructions, and clarifications to enhance the AI’s understanding of the required context accurately.
Finally, the “catch-up” feature will be introduced, a new chat interface that will offer users personalized insights based on their latest activities. Various suggestions will be presented, for example, if there is an upcoming meeting, the chat platform will automatically guide the user to review notes or specific documents. These functions will be available to Microsoft 365 subscribers with paid subscriptions in the coming months.
