The Dubai government’s Human Resources Department, in collaboration with the Dubai Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications, announced their support for the “Million Experts for Artificial Intelligence Commands” initiative, with the aim of enhancing Dubai’s position as an international hub for specialized talent in artificial intelligence and its skills, and attracting future investments in this field.
Both sides emphasized the need to coordinate joint efforts in capacity building, skills development, talent empowerment, and attracting expertise in artificial intelligence commands engineering specialties in Dubai, along with expanding its scope of usage and applications across vital sectors for the Emirate’s future.
The bilateral cooperation supports the goals of the “Million Experts for Artificial Intelligence Commands” initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, in May 2024. This initiative is the first of its kind to train experts and specialists in software commands engineering in the field of artificial intelligence. This collaboration aligns with the goals of the “Dubai Annual Plan for Artificial Intelligence Usage and Applications,” launched by the Crown Prince of Dubai in April 2024, to promote the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies in all vital sectors for the Emirate’s future, making it the most supportive to the economy, the best in technology employment, and the fastest in adopting advanced applications.
Abdullah Ali Al-Falasi, Director-General of Dubai’s Human Resources Department, expressed that artificial intelligence has brought a qualitative shift in the use of advanced technology in various sectors in recent years. He emphasized the department’s commitment to training government employees on the latest technologies and future applications, educating them on safe use and potential to find innovative solutions. He confirmed that signing the agreement with the Dubai Future Foundation enhances this partnership to provide necessary support for the Million Experts in Artificial Intelligence initiative.
Khalfan Juma Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation overseeing the “Dubai Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications,” highlighted the importance of partnerships in enabling and qualifying talents and competencies to lead the development and use of artificial intelligence in vital sectors for Dubai’s future, enhancing its leadership and readiness as one of the world’s most future-ready cities and a preferred global destination for talent, innovation, and investments in artificial intelligence.
He stated: The “Million Experts for Artificial Intelligence Commands” initiative, launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council and Chairman of the Dubai Future Foundation’s Board of Trustees, embodies this leadership and contributes to speeding up the preparation of a qualified generation capable of using artificial intelligence applications to make significant future changes and enhance quality of life.
Both parties collaborate to develop talents and competencies to acquire the ability to guide artificial intelligence models and algorithms for creating creative content, innovating solutions to complex challenges, providing precise instructions, and ensuring the best interaction with artificial intelligence to achieve desired outcomes.
The partnership between the two aims to create a conducive environment for trainees, enhance communication between them and experts and specialists, to improve their skills in using generative artificial intelligence programs and directing them towards practical applications that save time and effort, raise service levels across various fields, especially in the government sector and designing the future.
The collaboration, supporting the development of programming skills and artificial intelligence commands engineering, enhances the position of the “Dubai Artificial Intelligence Summit” held in Dubai. This event is organized by the “Dubai Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications” in collaboration with the “National Artificial Intelligence Program,” to serve as a platform for forming partnerships to expand artificial intelligence applications in future sectors. It also contributes to enhancing the transformative achievements that artificial intelligence has made so far in economics, digitization, knowledge, data, logistics services, research and development, innovation, and more.
