The cooperative design software company, FigJam, has announced the addition of artificial intelligence features to facilitate meetings. They have incorporated generative artificial intelligence features into the FigJam whiteboard tool to simplify project initiation and organization, promising to make meetings seamless.
The AI-powered digital whiteboard relies on foundational models from OpenAI, and although, they can easily be replaced with other foundational AI models.
The new intelligent generation features enable the creation of ready-made templates for use in collaborative design and planning projects, focusing on reducing the time required to manually prepare cooperative whiteboard projects from scratch, allowing designers to save time focusing on important tasks.
These benefits can be employed in any work, from work meeting schedules to organization and graphical flows, depending on simple requirements.
When artificial intelligence is presented, it appears as a radiant and influential symbol, then a small tool opens allowing users to write texts inside it through ChatGPT, providing them with options for classification and summarization.
The new “Create” feature offers a variety of suggestions for creating templates for items such as flowcharts, brainstorming sessions, and meeting organization, in addition to a text box through which you can describe what you want to create in your own words.
AI also suggests some assumed features that can be included in the content, such as suggesting adding a timeline, number of projects, and main stages of the project when creating a “Gantt” chart.
Users can also delete or edit sections in the generated projects in the same way they deal with manually designed projects.
FigJam also features a grouping feature based on main topics, where this feature automatically organizes sticky notes, the default technique for jotting down ideas.
FigJam includes the Summerize feature that creates a summary of information extracted from saved notes. These new features can be used alongside Jambot, a FigJam tool powered by ChatGPT technology introduced by the company in August as a trial feature.
FigJam is also exploring additional updates in the field of artificial intelligence to leverage advanced technology in their comprehensive platform.
FigJam’s artificial intelligence strategy revolves not only around design itself but also around productivity, positioning itself as a place where designers interact with other team members.
