Samsung has rolled out a new update for its flagship smartphones, including the addition of the Arabic language as one of the supported languages in the artificial intelligence features offered by the company, generally known as Galaxy AI.
In April last month, Samsung announced its intention to add the Arabic language, along with Indonesian and Russian, to the list of supported languages in its artificial intelligence features on its devices, in addition to languages already supported such as English, Chinese, Hindi, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, and others.
This means that Samsung device owners can now utilize the instant translation feature in Arabic within the intelligent Galaxy AI, making the translation process between Arabic and English easier in voice calls, text messages, and direct chats through instant translation.
Samsung plans to add more languages, such as Romanian, Turkish, Dutch, and Swedish, to the currently supported languages.
Samsung provides many other AI-based features, such as the ability to compose messages during chats or improve their formulation according to user needs, as well as summarizing text and voice notes or converting them to text or translating them, as well as summarizing web pages, articles, and news while browsing.
The Korean company offers artificial intelligence features for its flagship devices from the Galaxy S24 and S23 series, in addition to Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9.
It is recommended to download the latest updates released by the company for eligible devices either through the Settings app or the Galaxy Store.
Samsung announced that enhancing language support in Galaxy AI will allow an increasing number of its device users to communicate effectively despite linguistic difficulties.
The features provided by Samsung to users compensate for the need to use external applications that offer the same functions, which usually come with paid subscriptions, noting that these new features from Samsung are still free of charge so far.
