Google officially announced the launch of the NotebookLM tool for users residing in the United States. This tool aims to simplify note-taking using artificial intelligence technologies.
The company has added more features to the NotebookLM tool, including integrating the new artificial intelligence model “Gemini Pro” recently announced by Google, to enhance the tool’s capabilities in better understanding documents and performing tasks that require logical thinking skills according to the company.
Users can add documents and sources to the NotebookLM tool, then rely on the artificial intelligence capabilities to analyze the inputs to perform multiple tasks based on them. The tool can summarize the inputs, extract answers from them, and reference their source in the added documents.
This tool differs from chatbots like Google Talk, Bing, and Skypebots; because these chatbots rely on publicly available online data on which they are trained, while this tool operates only on user-specific sources.
You can add documents or references from files in your Drive account, upload them from your personal device, or even copy them directly from the text. Additionally, this tool can assist diverse groups of users in the fields of study, work, scientific research, and content production.
Google mentioned that the tool can now comprehend and compile up to 20 different sources with a maximum of 200,000 words in each source.
It is expected that this tool will be launched globally outside the United States in the near future.
