The platform Ex announced the availability of its artificial intelligence assistant Grok AI in Europe after reaching an agreement with regulators in the European Union.
The platform unveiled through one of its official accounts stating: “We are excited to bring Grok to Europe. We have started today providing the Grok search assistant service to Ex premium subscribers.” The platform clarified that it will continue to roll out other features of Grok after the European elections, including the popular news summaries feature.
It is believed that Ex company will delay the launch of the popular news summaries feature, fearing the spread of fake news that Grok could contribute to before the upcoming elections.
Ex company announced the arrival of Grok in the United Kingdom last week, as part of a strategy aimed at attracting more subscribers to the paid Ex premium service.
The platform provides free access to the artificial intelligence assistant Grok for subscribers, however, reports from the AppFigures institution indicate that adding artificial intelligence has not yet affected the platform’s income from subscriptions.
Estimations suggest that one in every one hundred users subscribes to the paid premium service on the platform, which grants them access to additional features such as the smart chatbot Grok.
Some experts believe that making Grok available to more users may enhance its popularity, especially with Ex’s trend of expanding its scope to include new geographical areas. However, Grok faces significant challenges, including fierce competition with ChatGPT, Google, and Meta.
Elon Musk, the CEO of Ex and Tesla, confirms both companies’ commitment to making artificial intelligence a central focus, especially as they have creative plans to enhance Grok’s capabilities and competitiveness.
