The company “Mobily” has announced expanding its use of artificial intelligence applications with the aim of improving the quality of telecommunications and information technology services provided to the guests of the Rahman during this year’s Hajj season in Mecca, Medina, and the holy sites, helping them perform the Hajj ritual with ease and smoothness.
Through this expansion in adopting artificial intelligence applications, “Mobily” aims to enhance the telecommunications services provided to the Rahman’s guests, facilitate their communication with their families, and enable them to access digital services available with assurance and trust, in line with the wise leadership’s directives by providing all conveniences to the guests of the Rahman.
This year, “Mobily” continues to use digital twinning technology to optimize network coverage, assisting in creating a virtual model of the network infrastructure to improve the Hajj pilgrims’ experience. The technology is being activated in stages to expand its geographical scope, continuously updating artificial intelligence platforms to enhance the outputs of the applications used and add new applications.
Engineer Salman Al Badran, the CEO of Mobily, emphasized that Mobily’s participation in this year’s Hajj season represents the continuity of its efforts as a leading company in the technology and communications sector in the Kingdom and as a national supportive entity in providing telecommunication services to the guests of the Rahman. These efforts include developing its digital infrastructure and improving its services by providing communication technologies with international standards, striving to achieve the goals of Vision 2030.
Al Badran pointed out that Mobily continues to invest in its digital infrastructure, develop its solutions and services, reaffirming its commitment as an active partner in governmental efforts aiming to provide a comfortable and smooth Hajj experience for the guests of the Rahman.
In the context of its ongoing efforts to develop its network in the holy sanctuaries and holy sites, “Mobily” has made significant expansions in the fourth and fifth generation networks, covering more than 70% of the holy sites locations. Additionally, it has increased the efficiency of the fiber optic network by 26% and doubled the capacity of the fifth-generation network in vital locations in the holy sanctuaries and the Mina site.
To enhance operational efficiency, the company has established the Operational Excellence Center in Mecca, which is developed annually. This center monitors network indicators and quality directly using the latest automation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning technologies to ensure the provision of comprehensive services at the highest levels.
