A recent study titled “Perspectives on Artificial Intelligence: Changing the Game in Weather Forecasting and Climate Change Awareness” was launched by the Trends Institute for Research and Consultancy. It explores how artificial intelligence is revolutionizing the field of weather forecasting by providing unprecedented levels of accuracy.
The study conducted by researcher Noor Al-Mazroui, head of the Artificial Intelligence and Future Studies Department at “Trends”, demonstrated that analyzing large quantities of data collected from satellites, weather observatories, and other diverse sources can contribute to achieving more accurate predictions of extreme weather conditions by artificial intelligence systems. This enhances disaster preparedness capabilities and improves risk management.
This study presents examples of artificial intelligence applications, such as the Gale example, which focuses on providing tailored weather forecasts that meet the needs of various sectors. It also highlights the ability of artificial intelligence to increase awareness of climate change phenomena by utilizing platforms that transform complex climate data into easily understandable and digestible information.
Research has shown that artificial intelligence not only enhances the accuracy of weather forecasts but also works on transforming the fundamental methods we use to interpret and address climate change issues.
