It appears that Apple is seriously working on leveraging all available assistance to integrate generative intelligent technology in a new feature called “Apple Intelligence,” recently announced. According to a report from The Wall Street Journal, based on reliable sources in the discussions.
Apple has engaged in discussions with Meta about using its generative artificial intelligence model, as well as similar discussions with Anthropic and Perplexity. So far, no final agreement has been reached between the parties, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal.
During the earlier WWDC conference this month, Apple officially announced its collaboration with OpenAI to bring the ChatGPT chatbot technology to upcoming iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices in the next generation of the operating system.
During the event, Craig Federighi, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Software, praised Google’s smart assistant JIMINY and described it as something that could be integrated into Apple’s intelligence system in the future. Federighi emphasized the importance of empowering users to choose models that suit them, making it logical for Apple to consider available options and explore the possibility of incorporating new technologies into its products.
So far, only a partnership between Apple and OpenAI has been announced. It is expected that GPT-4o from OpenAI will be integrated into Apple products to enhance Siri service and other tools, with some new features expected to arrive later this year.
