The university’s distinctive approach is further exemplified through the KAUST Academy training program, which recently celebrated the graduation of its second cohort in 2024. This innovative program has offered virtual courses to over 7,000 students from Saudi universities during its initial phase, with subsequent phases providing intensive in-person training to more than 2,800 participants. In its final phase, 200 outstanding students were selected for domestic and international scholarships, with partnerships including prestigious institutions like the University of Glasgow, the University of Oxford, and the University of Toronto.

These programs offer intensive short courses in AI, machine learning, and data science, alongside a variety of certification courses, diplomas, and partial master’s degree courses.
