Iker Casillas, who used to guard Real Madrid’s goal in the past, participated in a conference on technical innovation, artificial intelligence, and electronic data protection, which was held in Miami, USA. He discussed his influential role in supporting aspiring and new tech companies.
At an event sponsored by La Rioja International University in Spain, in collaboration with the American University (UM City Miami) last Thursday, Casillas showcased some aspects related to the collaboration between his sports equipment company, SportBoots, and the global company Telefonica, with the aim of supporting small businesses.
Casillas stated, “Both companies share the same interest in supporting sports and improving community well-being.”
He mentioned that he began his current work in the business innovation sector after collaborating with the company Edofin, which operates in the field of athlete health and improving their comfort.
Continuing, he said: “After suffering a heart attack, I noticed the detailed effort made by this emerging company in monitoring this vital organ, the heart.”
Within a period not exceeding three years, he collaborated with eleven startups in the tech sector and made investments exceeding two million euros.
