SK Hynix unveiled the high-performance SSD PCB01 during the GTC 2024 conference, featuring the highest industry performance level.
The SSD drive utilizes the fifth-generation PCIe interface and is targeted towards personal computers used in the field of artificial intelligence.
Following the development of the disk in the first half of 2024, SK Hynix plans to release two versions of PBC01 by the end of this year for major tech companies and consumers.
The drive offers read speeds of up to 14 gigabytes per second and write speeds of up to 12 gigabytes per second, allowing you to load large language models in less than a second.
Large language models are stored in the computer’s internal memory to ensure smooth AI operations, and the PCB01 drive effectively supports this process.
Energy consumption efficiency has been improved by up to 30% compared to the previous generation, making it suitable for the high-power needs of AI operations.
Single-Level Cell (SLC) technology is used in the PCB01 circuit board to achieve impressive processing speeds and accelerate AI services and PC operations.
In addition to the PCB01, SK Hynix introduced its new technologies and solutions at the GTC 2024 conference, such as 36GB HBM3E memory, CXL memory, and GDDR7 memory.
