G42 group and Microsoft have embarked on a new phase in their strategic collaboration in Abu Dhabi on September 5th. The two companies announced an ambitious plan that includes providing local cloud services, supporting innovation, investing in advanced artificial intelligence technologies, and enhancing and expanding the data center infrastructure in the UAE.
The sovereign cloud services provided by Microsoft to the government sector and industries spread across the UAE will offer them the opportunity to secure sensitive data. Additionally, it will enable them to benefit from the latest features of the cloud and artificial intelligence available in Azure Cloud. Moreover, it will facilitate their compliance with local privacy standards.
Both companies are aiming to integrate their expertise and capabilities to develop cutting-edge industrial solutions based on artificial intelligence in the fields of health, life sciences, energy, sustainability, and national projects. They will also participate in the COP 28 climate change conference in the UAE this year.
G42 group and Microsoft plan to set new standards for cloud computing security and innovations in the government sector. Furthermore, the two companies aim to expand their technological ecosystem by offering new services within the UAE and providing greater market entry opportunities for partners.
Under this partnership, Microsoft will expand its Azure cloud-related services in the UAE through cooperation with “Datacenter Forte,” a joint venture between G42 and Etisalat.
Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, the General Manager of the National Data Center at the National Security Council and Chief Cybersecurity Officer in the UAE, expressed deep gratitude for the fruitful cooperation between Microsoft and G42.
He affirmed that this partnership will help in developing a sustainable and secure digital environment, where the government sector and regulated industries will achieve superior performance, and the services provided to citizens will become more efficient and convenient. At the same time, innovative fields will progress without compromising data security or privacy.
