Microsoft announced that its artificial intelligence assistant Copilot now supports many new languages in its cloud services “Microsoft 365”, including the Arabic language.
The company introduced its intelligent service to large companies relying on Microsoft 365 applications at the end of last year, then made it available to all company clients at the beginning of the current year.
Initially, the smart assistant supported a limited number of languages in Microsoft 365 applications, which were English, Spanish, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, French, German, Portuguese, and Italian.
The company announced on its official website support for 16 new languages, including Arabic, in addition to Turkish, Hebrew, Russian, Korean, Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Dutch, and other languages.
The company stated that Traditional Chinese, already supported in the free version of Copilot, will be supported in Microsoft 365’s assistant and will be added later once some remaining issues are resolved by the development team.
The company noted that Copilot assistant may not be able to understand all popular expressions or linguistic terms in some languages, but it is working hard to improve its linguistic skills and expand the list of supported languages.
The assistant Copilot for Microsoft 365 adds generative artificial intelligence features to the company’s productivity applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and more, and is available to companies at an annual fee of $30 per user.
