Microsoft showcased its latest technological innovations highlighting the vital role of artificial intelligence in supporting individuals and organizations across all sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to achieve their future goals.
This was done as the leading company in the technology field participated as a strategic partner in the third edition of the Leap exhibition and conference, currently taking place in the capital Riyadh, witnessing the participation of more than 1800 exhibiting entities, 600 startups, and 800 speakers discussing the impact of the latest trends and technological developments on our lives and work.
Microsoft participated in this year’s global tech event under the slogan “Harnessing Artificial Intelligence to Reshape the Future.” Its pavilion features over 30 local and global partner companies to highlight the artificial intelligence solutions offered by Microsoft, Azure, and Azure AI. These solutions aim to empower organizations to develop innovative AI-supported solutions to meet their needs and make a positive impact on society. These efforts support economic diversification and enhance digital transformation in line with the goals of Vision 2030 in the Kingdom.
During the Leap 2024 exhibition, Microsoft Pavilion will host a group of experts to showcase the advanced capabilities of the Microsoft Copilot virtual assistant experience, considered a daily AI-enhanced companion playing a vital role in increasing productivity and enhancing innovation for workers in the digital age.
The company is presenting the new virtual assistant experiences for the “Microsoft 365” suite, including popular Microsoft solutions such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. These experiences help users complete routine and repetitive tasks, allowing them – regardless of their field of work – to focus on innovation in their work.
According to a survey of Copilot virtual assistant users, 70% reported an increase in productivity, while 68% found that Copilot helped them improve the quality of their work.
The President of Microsoft Arabia, Turki Baderis, in a press statement, emphasized that the rapid development in the field of artificial intelligence is propelling the Kingdom and the world towards a new era of digital transformation. He pointed out that at Microsoft, they acknowledge the tremendous potential of AI technologies to enhance business and drive innovation. He praised the Leap 2024 exhibition and conference as an ideal platform for the company to engage with its customers, partners, and experts in the IT and innovation field in the Kingdom, showcasing the amazing potential of these innovations in empowering everyone to achieve their goals.
Microsoft’s participation in the Leap 2024 exhibition and conference comes after the success of its participation last year, where it announced plans to invest in establishing cloud data center zones in the Kingdom. Through its investments, including cloud data centers, as well as strategic partnerships and initiatives, Microsoft is working to build a successful and active technological infrastructure; contributing to enhancing the Kingdom’s status as a global center for innovation and investment.
Over the past year, the company has made significant progress in advancing this project, enhancing its partnerships with government sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, to establish and launch Microsoft cloud data centers in the Kingdom. Several institutions from various sectors have shown interest in collaborating with Microsoft cloud data centers to enhance digital transformation processes and stimulate innovation.
