Microsoft has officially announced the integration of its AI assistant shopping service within the Edge browser, including its own “Copilot” assistant.
The company mentioned on its official website that it has appointed Copilot assistant to become a personal shopper for users, aiming to help them find what they need in the shortest time possible. Users can ask questions about shopping ideas, and Copilot provides a number of questions to determine shopping ideas, choices, and offer product suggestions that can be purchased.
Microsoft also announced that it will soon introduce the feature of sharing a picture of the desired product by the user, to guide Copilot assistant to the suitable product.
It is important to note that Microsoft’s intelligent assistant can be used in shopping service by visiting its dedicated link from any web browser.
However, the company confirmed that Edge browser provides a better user experience, despite the new features in desktop browsers which will be added to mobile browsers in the near future.
Microsoft also appreciated a new feature that allows users to view summaries of reviews written by customers specifically about the selected product, through the Copilot assistant application.
On the other hand, the company announced a security feature in Edge browser called Edge Secure Network. This feature relies on Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology to prevent external parties from accessing sensitive personal information, enabling users to make online purchases and keep browsing activity away from prying eyes.
The company also explained some new security features in Edge browser, including password health and its ability to detect spelling errors on websites that prevent users from visiting harmful sites if they make a mistake in typing the site’s address.
