The executive director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, predicted that artificial intelligence would impact 60% of jobs in advanced economies and 40% of job opportunities globally in the next two years.
During a conference in Zurich yesterday, she pointed out that artificial intelligence could lead to a significant increase in productivity when used effectively, but it could also generate more misleading information and therefore increase inequality in our society.
