He mentioned that ISESCO’s Center for Strategic Foresight has conducted several training courses on foresight and decision-making for groups of employees in governmental, professional, and youth sectors in member countries, according to the same source.
Foresight studies are considered part of social sciences, aiming to predict future trends and analyze variable factors that may influence those trends.
According to the owner, the “Women in Science: Artificial Intelligence and the Future” chair was launched at the University of the Mediterranean in Fez, and a “ISESCO Chair for the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence” will soon be established at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Oman.
Shami praised ISESCO’s role and its support for member countries in its areas of expertise, confirming the Economic and Social Council’s eagerness to build cooperation with the organization due to its distinguished experience in strategic foresight and artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence has begun to play a significant role in technology development in recent years, and it is expected to have a greater impact on national security files in the future.
