Artificial intelligence technology continues to dominate the field of technology, garnering attention at the MWC 2024 conference which featured the presentation of several modern devices that utilize artificial intelligence in their core operations. Some devices stood out notably from the rest due to their distinctive features, such as electronic glasses and other technological devices that can be worn and provide answers to various questions without the need to use a mobile phone.

1- Smart Needle Humane AI Pin:
After the unveiling of the Humane AI Pin smart needle for the first time in November, it was presented during the MWC conference in 2024 for attendees to closely examine before making a purchase.
This wearable device acts as an intelligent assistant capable of answering all inquiries directed at it, and its activation is done by tapping on its touch panel. It can display answers directly on the user’s arm using laser technology.
While many smartphones now come equipped with artificial intelligence technologies enabling them to answer various questions just like this small device, this wearable device serves as an independent tool from the mobile phone, allowing users to find the answers they seek without wasting time navigating through the phone and searching through various applications. It is a small-sized device that can be attached to clothing and does not have a screen, designed to provide instant assistance whenever needed.
2- Smartphones and glasses relying on artificial intelligence:
Following the impressive capabilities of artificial intelligence in the leading Samsung Galaxy S24 series released in January, many smartphone manufacturers have begun adopting artificial intelligence features in their latest releases. One of the most famous devices in this category includes:
- The Xiaomi 14 phone was announced for the first time in October 2023, featuring the third version of the Snapdragon 8 processor from the first generation. It was presented at the MWC alongside the advanced version Xiaomi 14 Ultra known for its high-end technologies. These phones were announced for global markets during the exhibition.
Xiaomi has updated its modern phones with a series of innovative features relying on artificial intelligence, enabling users to perform many tasks efficiently.
Easily, such as the ability to enlarge images beyond their basic edges, and apply artificial intelligence to fill these added areas with a design that complements and matches the background of the main image.- The Honor Magic 6 Pro device that caught the attention at the MWC 2024 exhibition with its support for AI-powered eye-tracking technology, enabling users to manage their phones just by looking. Among the other features offered by artificial intelligence on the device is the Magic Text feature that examines texts in images and converts them into editable text, similar to the Live Text feature found on iPhones.
At the MWC conference, in addition to smartphones and the advanced AI-powered wearable pin, a range of devices powered by artificial intelligence was unveiled. Among them, Chinese company Oppo gave a glimpse of its smart glasses called Air Glass 3, which features an AI assistant powered by the company’s AndesGPT language model.

When capturing a moving object like your pet or a vehicle, images often appear unclear and confusing, but thanks to AI Motion technology, these issues can be overcome by addressing motion-induced noise and improving image clarity.
Oppo mentioned that this feature can also be utilized to enhance the quality of slow-motion videos, allowing for video recording at up to 960 frames per second in 4K resolution.
3- Processors Supported by Artificial Intelligence:
At the end of the past year, Qualcomm and MediaTek, renowned for chip manufacturing, launched new processors based on artificial intelligence technologies to empower smartphones with advanced performance in handling diverse requirements, professional photo editing, and other various tasks. MediaTek unveiled the Dimensity 9300 processor aimed at high-end Android devices and the Dimensity 8300 processor for mid-range devices, both equipped with advanced capabilities in generative artificial intelligence.
During the 2024 Global Phone Conference, Qualcomm revealed its new Snapdragon X80 5G modem, which will be used in flagship smartphones to be released this year, as well as in tablets, computers, and a variety of other electronic devices.
The Snapdragon X80 modem stands out for its support for satellite communications, and Qualcomm stated that the Snapdragon X80 contributes to enhancing the quality of voice and video calls via 5G NR frequencies by utilizing artificial intelligence technologies.
