Adobe has introduced new artificial intelligence features in its Acrobat program for editing PDF files, based on Adobe Firefly Image 3. Users can now easily enhance and create images using text commands within the application. Additionally, the document vision and meeting summarization feature has been introduced, as reported by India Today.
Adobe announced the integration of Firefly Image 3 in Acrobat, allowing users to edit images in detail and with ease, including background removal, scanning, and cropping. These features enable efficient content addition, removal, and modifications in documents. Furthermore, users can create custom images using text commands and easily adjust their size and shape. Adobe has also introduced similar features in Photoshop earlier this year.
Adobe ensured that the Firefly model is trained on licensed content, including content from Adobe Stock and images from the public domain whose copyright has expired. To distinguish between real images and those created by artificial intelligence, Adobe adheres to the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) standard, which requires adding an AI label and creation details in the image metadata.
The smart assistant in Acrobat has received new updates that allow it to provide document analytics, such as identifying trends, answering questions, and gathering information from various sources. Starting from June 18, the assistant can provide citations along with its answers, making it easier for users to access relevant information quickly.
The meeting notes capabilities of the artificial intelligence assistant in Adobe have been enhanced through meeting summarization. Thanks to artificial intelligence technologies, the assistant can now automatically generate summaries for virtual meetings, assisting users in easily keeping track of key topics and actions.
