LinkedIn has announced the introduction of new AI-powered features aimed at helping users find jobs and customize their resumes, as well as receive advice from smart chatbots.
These benefits will be available to premium subscribers in English worldwide.
One of the new tools allows users to search for jobs on LinkedIn by typing a natural language job request they are interested in. This method can be helpful in finding potential jobs if the results are accurate.
Furthermore, the platform can analyze user resumes and provide tailored recommendations to enhance them according to each job separately.
Users can upload their resumes and receive interactive feedback for making alterations using artificial intelligence.
The company mentioned that the new tools also include a tool to create a “from scratch” cover letter with the help of artificial intelligence.
These benefits add to other AI-supported benefits that LinkedIn started testing last year, such as the ability to summarize posts.
In addition to assisting users in job searching, LinkedIn has started testing AI-powered smart characters that users can interact with to gain more knowledge about various work fields.
The platform clarified that the AI answers come from experts and are customized to meet each user’s individual needs.
The company also pledged to enhance the search function on the platform using generative AI, without specifying specific details.
Tonser Cohen, the Executive Product Leader at LinkedIn, stated that “Artificial Intelligence will revolutionize our search capabilities, allowing you to explore the depth and breadth of any subject directly through searching on LinkedIn,” adding that these updates will be rolled out in the coming weeks.
