The company OpenAI aims to achieve annual revenue of up to 3.4 billion dollars, which is a significant increase from the previous figure of 1.6 billion dollars at the end of last year and 1 billion dollars in 2022. This information came according to statements by CEO Sam Altman to the company’s employees and according to a report from Bloomberg agency.
During a comprehensive meeting, Altman confirmed that most of the revenue comes from the company’s products and services.
Around 3.2 billion dollars were generated from ChatGPT subscriptions by the company, where users pay a monthly fee of at least 20 dollars to access additional features in chat, in addition to developers who pay amounts for using large language models in their applications and services.
Altman pointed out that OpenAI aims to achieve annual revenue of approximately 200 million dollars by providing access to artificial intelligence technologies through the Microsoft Azure platform. These revenues come from a partnership with Microsoft, where OpenAI provides its services to Azure platform customers for cloud computing.
A previous report from The Information outlet stated that the company’s revenue reached 1.6 billion dollars at the end of 2023, with annual revenue doubling in the last six months.
