OpenAI, the company behind the renowned chatbot model ChatGPT, has decided to delay the launch of its GPT store until the beginning of 2024, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters agency.
During the developers’ first conference last November, OpenAI provided an overview of its new store, which was planned to be launched later in the same month.
According to the memo, the company continues to make “improvements” to the GPT system based on customer feedback, and this delay comes after the sudden dismissal of CEO Sam Altman and his later reinstatement due to employees’ resignation threats.
GPTs serve as a form of artificial intelligence that performs real-world tasks such as booking flights on behalf of the user. This technology is also expected to enable users to share points and earn profits based on the number of users.
