The company OpenAI will be ready to unveil the GPT Store to the public next week after experiencing delays in its launch according to its previous schedule.
The GPT Store allows customers to sell custom artificial intelligence robots or share them with ChatGPT robot users, which are created using large language models developed by OpenAI.
As per an email sent by the company to registered developers in the store, they are required to recheck the compatibility of their GPT robots with the guidelines and policies followed by the company, and make some minor adjustments to the settings before the store launches next week.
The official spokesperson stated that the company will reveal more details next week, without mentioning launch dates in different countries, and whether the company plans to make it available to all users at once or gradually as they did last year with the ChatGPT robot.
OpenAI announced the launch of the GPT Store for the first time at its developer conference last November, with the store expected to be launched in the same month. However, the launch was postponed due to the dismissal of CEO Sam Altman, causing disruptions within the company, and then his reinstatement.
The store will be available only to subscribers in “ChatGPT Plus” paid version as well as institutions. While OpenAI provides custom robots through the “Explore” tab in “ChatGPT Plus,” the store will allow selling custom robots offered by customers or sharing them and earning income based on their usage rates without disclosing the mechanism of this process.
