Next week, OpenAI will announce the opening of a store for artificial intelligence (AI) applications powered by GPT models. This launch signifies a crucial strategic shift for the company, transitioning from being a provider of AI models to an integrated platform.
Developers in the store will be allowed to create and share custom applications built on OpenAI’s large language models (such as GPT-4). GPT-based applications do not require coding expertise and can be simple or complex based on the developer’s preference.
Developers can easily articulate the features they want to offer in their own GPT in plain language. OpenAI’s GPT-building tool, known as GPT Builder, will attempt to create an AI chatbot that performs those functions.
