Turkish authorities have continued their efforts to enhance the work of security agencies by employing artificial intelligence technologies in Turkey, aiming to monitor technological advancements and improve the efficiency of the police and other security agencies operating in 81 Turkish provinces.
“Kozal Net” indicates that the body-worn camera from the Turkish manufacturing company “ASELSAN” has become a third eye for Turkish security forces, using local and national artificial intelligence algorithms.
The body-worn camera produced by “ASELSAN,” considered the third eye for security forces, instantly identifies criminals and the license plates of vehicles involved in crimes, providing security forces with the latest technologies through developed local and national products.
One of the new products is the “ODAKAN” collar camera, which captures all events in the field moment by moment.
The use of the body-worn camera, developed to meet the needs of the General Command of the Gendarmerie Forces in detecting criminals or wanted individuals at smart road checkpoint locations and implementing smart gendarmerie patrols, has begun. The project was carried out in collaboration with the Presidency of Defense Industries.
Then, a city security management project and a license plate identification system were implemented in collaboration with the Presidency of Defense Industries. Suitable cameras were provided to the Security Directorate to benefit from the advancement in artificial intelligence technologies in Turkey.
The “ODAKAN” camera provides comfort to security forces in the field with its touch screen and LED lighting for night vision, in addition to its design, capturing high-quality images during audio and video recording.
Thanks to the camera, which streams directly to the center and stores the image in its memory, wanted criminals or license plates of vehicles involved in crimes are instantly checked, and the on-duty security forces in the field are informed of the information.
The camera can also capture wide-angle shots, equipped with an “ASELSAN” discharge system. During the discharge process, images are transferred from the memory to recording units in the center.
The emergency batteries for body-worn cameras operating on external batteries have the ability for continuous use.
To avoid interruptions in work and crucial moments, the body-worn camera continues operation during battery replacement, and the scene is pre-recorded for a certain period before starting the recording.
The camera also excels in its endurance in harsh weather conditions, resistance to drops, and contact with liquids.
Information about the location of security forces using body cameras can also be shared with relevant authorities, thus enabling sending images from field employees to the center when needed and ensuring necessary communication.
