The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (“Sadaya”) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Microsoft Arabia to enhance the collaboration aimed at supporting and developing national capabilities in the field of artificial intelligence.
This event took place as part of the activities of the Leap 2024 conference where “Sadaya” participated as a strategic partner in the field of artificial intelligence at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center located in the Mleehm area north of Riyadh city.
The memorandum was signed by Dr. Yasser bin Mohammed Al-Oneizan, who holds the position of CEO of the national center specializing in artificial intelligence under Sadaya, and Turki bin Hassan Badris, who is the President of Microsoft Foundation in the Arab world.
The memorandum highlights strengthening the partnership between the two parties in various technological fields, including utilizing educational resources provided by Microsoft.
The signing of the memorandum comes within the framework of the ongoing cooperation and joint efforts between Sadaya and Microsoft in the field of artificial intelligence, representing a part of the diligent efforts undertaken by Sadaya as a primary reference for data and artificial intelligence inside the Kingdom, in all aspects related to its development, processing, and management.
Driven by a deep conviction in the importance of establishing qualified national competitive capabilities globally, towards elevating the Kingdom’s status as a globally distinguished point in the horizons of modern and advanced technologies related to artificial intelligence.
